Ms. Richardson received her undergraduate degree from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Communications with a minor in Electronic and Computer Technology. She began working in research at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, formerly Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1994. Starting in a beginner’s position as a research data collector/interviewer she had an opportunity to learn and grow in her research awareness. Early in her research experience, she worked primarily on adult chemo-prevention studies. Having been a project manager of a seven year nationwide randomized clinical trial that was coming to a close, to further her knowledge base she obtained a Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. A transition to community based research came as she began working with several pediatric trials. Working in pediatrics served two purposes; it allowed her to experience children in research settings and an opportunity to go out into community rather than have the community coming in. She also experienced the start-up of innovative community-academia collaboration with the YWCA of Winston-Salem. Ms Richardson was serving as the Assistant Director of Community Outreach for the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity and the Assistant Director of the Collaborative to Strengthen Families and Neighborhoods prior to joining Gramercy. Wake Forest University School of Medicine helped Ms. Richardson to gain more than 15 years of quality research experience. Ms. Richardson is looking forward to putting her knowledge and love of community involvement to work for this organization. irichardson@gramercyresearch.com Lyndsey Hornbuckle, PhD, RD Dr. Hornbuckle is Post-Doctoral Fellow having completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Movement Science with a specialization in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University in May 2009 with a dissertation entitled, "Effects of Resistance Training and Ambulation on Cardiovascular Risk Factors in African-American Women."
