Melicia C. Whitt-Glover, Ph.D.
Gramercy Research Group operates under the leadership of Melicia C. Whitt-Glover, Ph.D, President and CEO. Dr. Whitt-Glover is a community-based researcher with background, training and research experience in exercise science and epidemiology. In 1993, Dr. Whitt-Glover received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received a Master of Arts degree in Exercise Science, with a minor in epidemiology, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996. In 1999, Dr. Whitt-Glover received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. Dr. Whitt-Glover completed postdoctoral training in Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA in 2002. From 2003 – 2009, Dr. Whitt-Glover served as a faculty member at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. During her time at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Dr. Whitt-Glover served as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Public Health Sciences, Executive Director of the WFUSM-YWCA Collaborative to Strengthen Families and Neighborhoods, and Director of Community Outreach for the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity.

Lyndsey Hornbuckle, PhD, RD
Dr. Hornbuckle is Post-Doctoral Fellow having completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Movement Science with a specialization in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University in May 2009 with a dissertation entitled, “Effects of Resistance Training and Ambulation on Cardiovascular Risk Factors in African-American Women.” She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology (Nutrition) in 2001 from University of Tennessee at Knoxville, then completed a Dietetic Internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 2002. Dr. Hornbuckle then returned to the University of Tennessee to obtain a Master of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology completing a thesis entitled, “Pedometer-Determined Physical Activity and Health Variables in African-American Women (40-62 years of age).” Dr Hornbuckle has years of teaching experience in both the classroom and the exercise arena. She is experienced in the creation, administration, and evaluation of tools to assist in learning fitness- and nutrition-related topics. Dr. Hornbuckle is especially talented in creating appropriate physical fitness workouts for both adults and children. Including training and experience, Dr. Hornbuckle has more than 10 years of assisting others to exercise and move more.

Ethel J. Whitt
Ethel J. Whitt, Financial manager, joined Gramercy with depth and experience in financial management. Ethel has spent over 25 years as a business owner and lends her knowledge and insights of financial management to the growth of Gramercy Research Group. Ethel worked for over 15 years in the non-profit arena of fund accounting. The growth and transparency of Gramercy Research is her top priority.
Raymond Glover
Raymond Glover, Director of Information Technology, A visionary and forward thinking IT professional. Mr. Glover is adept at network systems analysis, design, implementation and deployment. He has over 12 years experience in Sales and Marketing, Negotiating, problem solving and troubleshooting. Additionally from 2004 to 2007 he aided in the growth of a fortune 500 company, which saw an average annual increase of over 29% in revenue. Mr. Glover’s educational background includes The University of Michigan Dearborn, The Art Institute of Philadelphia, and currently online courses at Forsyth Tech. His focus is on company growth, security and all matters relating to information technology current and future. In addition Mr. Glover also has over 20 years experience in the field of music and directs our creative department aiding in the procurement and direction of music from outside artists.
Michelle Gallant, Project Coordinator
Michelle Gallant brings over 20 years experience in Office/Staff Management to Gramercy. She is known as a strong leader, recognized for her ability to effectively multi-task and exemplary relationship building skills. Her experience in various levels of project management and her attention to detail allow her to understand the scope of a project and effectively communicate with each team member. She serves as the point person in organizing the day-to-day operational aspects of research.
